Carl Iacozili
ACE Certified Personal Trainer &
Sports Performance Specialist
I came to the Mount Washington Valley from Northeast Ohio in the summer of 1998. Attending SOLO Wilderness Medical School that summer I fell in love with the White Mountains, the available mountain activities and the people. Working at a local bike shop the next summer I met my mentor in endurance sports who taught me how to push myself to do things I never thought possible. I started training harder than I ever had for 24 Hr. Mt. bike races, 90K XC ski races, ½ Marathons and more.
It was my love for training and helping others achieve goals that led me to pursue my ACE personal training certificate and Sports Performance Specialist Cert. I now enjoy working with athletes of all ages. I presently coach youth football and as a USSS Level 200 Alpine Race Coach I coach alpine ski racing with the Cranmore Race Team and work with MWV Ski Team on their Strength and Conditioning program.
My focus as a trainer and coach is provide a truly personalized program. Through movement, posture and flexibility assessment we will find the best approach to achieve your goals. I believe you don’t play sports to get in shape. You get in shape to play sports.
Let me help you get in shape.

My focal areas are strength training for the long-game. I define this as a movement practice which supports you as a human – physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. It’s cohesive with the rest of your life and doesn’t create additional stress. Most importantly, it’s individual to each person because we all have different bodies, goals/intentions, and experiences.
I primarily work with endurance and adventure loving humans (of ALL levels!), but have experience working with individuals with a variety of backgrounds and needs. This can be an individual looking to add a strength program to supplement their endurance pursuits, post physical-therapy strength training, someone who is a beginner to strength training, or the individual looking to learn barbell specific movements. I have experience working with folks who partake in a multitude of activities including four-season hiking, trail and mountain running, weightlifting, powerlifting, cycling, climbing, nordic skiing, alpine touring, and snowboarding.
Additionally, I have special interest working with individuals who experience chronic pain/illness, Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (RED-S), and those who are in Eating Disorder recovery or dealing with disordered eating or body image concerns. I would be grateful for the opportunity to help you find a movement approach which is supportive and safe.
Quick little get to know me: I’m a four-season hiker and mountain runner, lover of oat milk lattes, former nationally competitive jump-roper, podcast host (Pursuing Endurance Podcast), my favorite strength-training movements are deadlifts and pull-ups, and I’m a big fan of cartwheels, deep belly laughing, and poetry.
I look forward to supporting you in your process to reach the goal(s) you have. Please reach out via email to schedule a free 15-minute consult call.
